if the battery is down to absolute zero the charger simply doesn't turn on because it can't tell it's hooked up to anything. The NOCO has a "Force" mode that turns on the charging regardless, until there's enough juice there to resume normal smart charging.

Is that a typical winter temperature for you? 😜

My motorcycle shop used one of these to "wake up" a dead battery so a normal charger could work. Basically using it as a "dumb" charger to get a little juice into the battery before moving it to a smart charger.

NTD!

Got tired of cheap electronic calipers constantly needing re-zeroing and re-adjustment and battery swaps and still not being reliable after all that. It's the one tool that I use a ton, especially needing to measure up some part to 3D-print a replacement, but also in general. So decided to get something simple, but hopefully reliable:

No fancy electronic readouts, digital Mitutoyos are a bit out of my budget, I'm not using them for any sort of job after all. Although if these prove good, I might decide to treat myself at some point.

I'm going to need to drill into stone for this next project, so new hammer drill!
