Top Gear Live is touring again this year. Here’s the locations for 2009/2010:
If one is anywhere near you, I’d recommend looking into attending. I’ve never been myself (nearest one is on the opposite side of the world from me), but from the photos and videos I’ve seen from previous years, it looks to be quite a spectacle.

Clarkson Says Top Gear America “Canned”

Posted February 11th, 2009 at 11:202009-02-11T11:20:36ZF jS, Y \a\t H:i by Viper007Bond in Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear America, Top Gear Live
Yes this news is from last week, but I haven’t been reading my e-mail too well lately so it slipped between the cracks. Whoops.
During a press conference for Top Gear Live in Australia, Jeremy was asked about the American version of Top Gear and if he thought it was going to be shown in Australia at all. He replied that the show had been “canned” and that us Americans “just don’t get it”. Now he may have just been referring to NBC passing on the show, but it may also be really dead. I’m not sure as Clarkson isn’t usually the most reliable when it comes to these kinds of things.
Anyway, you can see for yourself at 6:30 in:

Top Gear Live Dublin Tickets Sell Out In 90 Minutes

Posted September 11th, 2008 at 10:522008-09-11T10:52:44ZF jS, Y \a\t H:i by Viper007Bond in Top Gear Live
If the show in Dublin is any indication of what’s to come, tickets are going to be fairly hard to come by for the Top Gear Live World Tour. According to Independent.ie, the tickets for the Dublin show sold out in just 90 minutes.
If you’re planning to go to any other of the shows, I’d suggest being on the ball when it comes to buying tickets or you may just find yourself out of luck.

Top Gear Live World Tour

Posted September 8th, 2008 at 08:232008-09-08T08:23:47ZF jS, Y \a\t H:i by Viper007Bond in Top Gear Live
First off, an apology for this post being so far behind the times. Top Gear has been doing a live show for a number of years now, so when I heard news about the gang’s stunt in London (more on that in a moment), I figured it was just a promotion for another year of MPH. I was wrong though, so here’s a post filling you in on the details incase you missed them.
Back on September 1st, the Top Gear trio crossed London’s Tower Bridge in a tank followed by an Aston Martin and a Ferrari F430 carrying their luggage.

The event was a promotion for their Top Gear Live world tour. They’ll be taking their show that normally occurs at MPH in the UK around the world to various cities. Here’s the ones outside of the UK that have been announced so far (here’s hoping for some in North America):
- Dublin, Ireland — November 27th to 30th, 2008 (tickets on sale now)
- Johannesburg, South Africa — January 29th to February 1st, 2009
- Sydney, Australia — February 6th to 9th, 2009
- Auckland, New Zealand — February 12th to 15th, 2009
- Hong Kong — February 19th to 22nd, 2009
Tickets aren’t on sale yet for any of the shows outside of the UK (except Ireland), but they will be “soon”. More details can be found at Top Gear Live’s website.
