Clarkson In Head-On Accident During Filming, He’s Just Fine Though
_____
Posted October 12th, 2008 at 11:04 GMT by Viper007Bond in Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear

Jeremy was in a head-on collision according to The Mirror:

He suffered minor injuries to his legs, hand and back in the head-on collision during filming for the BBC show.

Clarkson, 48, said: “My right index finger looked like a burst sausage, my left shin was fatter than my thigh and my back felt like someone had driven over it with a pile-driver.”

The Mirror also has a quote though from Jeremy’s wife: “My husband is fine”. Whew.

Thanks to diti for the tip.

Top Gear Officially Confirmed To Be Back November 2nd
_____
Posted October 11th, 2008 at 01:09 GMT by Viper007Bond in Top Gear

TopGear.com has officially confirmed that the next season of Top Gear will start on November 2nd, as we earlier deduced. A little under 23 days to go!

Anyway, the upshot is that Top Gear was going to be back on 26 October but then there turned out to be some sport on or something and as a result the new series will now start on Sunday 2 November.

New TopGear.com (Finally) Launches
_____
Posted October 7th, 2008 at 13:04 GMT by Viper007Bond in TopGear.com

The new TopGear.com has finally launched. It features nearly 300 videos (which I’ll be setting up links to shortly so you can just stream the segments you want), new blogs, a ton of car reviews, and so much more. It also seems they want to steal users back from us (oh no!) as they’ve added guides for each episode describing what was in each episode. ;)

But seriously, it’s a great site and worth a visit if you’re bored at work (or even if you’re not) and wanting to watch some Top Gear.

Since last week’s episode was so good I thought I’d continue torrenting the show for you all.

Top Gear Australia isn’t out yet, but we’ll have a torrent for you when it is.

D-Motor vs. Top Gear — The Other “Half”
_____
Posted October 1st, 2008 at 03:27 GMT by Viper007Bond in Top Gear

As you may remember, Top Gear took on Germany’s D-Motor TV show earlier this year.

About a week ago, the other “half” of the show aired — the D-Motor perspective. A couple of our forum members have been awesome enough to write English subtitles for the show. You can watch the show in either YouTube format or download it to your PC.

Thanks again to Suedschleife, swek, and wooflepoof!

Top Gear Probably Back November 2nd, Not October
_____
Posted September 29th, 2008 at 23:32 GMT by Viper007Bond in Top Gear

Based on the Applause Store’s website as well as tickets for filming that members of our forums have received, it’s looking like the first taping for the new season will occur on October 29th. This means that the episode would air the following Sunday, November 2nd rather than the “third week of October” like James had previously stated (that’s probably just when they head back to the studio).

So a bit longer of a wait, but based on various filming sightings that our forum members have made, it should be a very excellent season and worth the wait.

James May’s Big Ideas - Episode 1 Torrent
_____
Posted September 29th, 2008 at 05:36 GMT by Viper007Bond in James May

James May has a new show called James May’s Big Ideas. The first episode aired today and I thought I’d torrent it up for you all that are outside of the UK like I am. You can download it on Mininova.

In the first of a new series James May travels the globe in search of his ultimate flying machine. He begins by heading into the frozen wastes of Russia to pilot one of the best kept secrets of the Cold War, then James heads to the US to fly the world’s only surviving flying car.

In Japan he watches a man struggle with his tiny chopper, before returning to the suburban gardens of Sussex where James turns himself into a human rocket - all in pursuit of finding a better way to get from A to B.

Finally, in California, James encounters his ultimate dream - a flying car capable of vertical take off, and one so simple that anyone can pilot it, but is the world ready for a flying car?

Top Gear Season 10 Torrent Released
_____
Posted September 24th, 2008 at 12:12 GMT by Viper007Bond in Top Gear

Even though we used rips by the Scene when season 10 originally aired, I’ve still gone ahead and torrented up Top Gear season 10 as a single torrent. This should make it easier to keep the torrent alive long term, plus make it easier to download for those who don’t already have the episodes.

Top Gear Spoilers

This is just a reminder that I don’t post spoilers on the front page, so if you’re wanting to know where they’ve been and are currently filming, make sure to check out the spoilers section of our forums. Lots of great stuff there right now!

Top Gear Season 9 Torrent Remade With Proper Filenames
_____
Posted September 12th, 2008 at 05:23 GMT by Viper007Bond in Top Gear

It was pointed out to me that I accidentally named all of the episodes in the season 9 torrent wrong (2008 instead of 2007). To correct this, I’ve remade the torrent and deleted the old one from Mininova. However, if you’re downloading or seeding the old torrent right now, don’t worry — the trackers will still track it and there’s nothing wrong with the files in the old torrent apart from the wrong year in the filename. You will be able to finish downloading it. I just don’t want any new people using that torrent as the filenames are wrong.

If you downloaded the old torrent but would like to seed the new torrent, first stop the old torrent in your client and then browse to the folder containing the episodes on your PC and change the 2008’s to 2007. You can then add the new torrent to your client and it will seed with the existing data.

Sorry for the trouble everyone.
