You can buy it on DVD or on Blu-ray off Amazon.co.uk. Unfortunately there’s no sign of it on North America’s Amazon.com.

Clarkson tweeted that the Top Gear Christmas special won’t be airing until February so that means no Top Gear until January or February.

The Guardian is reporting that Clarkson, Hammond, and May have signed deals that ensures Top Gear will at least be on the air for three more years. Woo hoo!

I like the Guardian. It’s a good paper. But the story it’s running about Top Gear on line is seriously wrong.

UPDATE #2: The contracts seem to be correct — Clarkson may have been referring to something else in the article being wrong.

It looks like we’ll have quite a long wait until the return of Top Gear. In a recent interview with a South African radio show, Clarkson mentioned that Top Gear won’t be returning this year, presumably due to the Olympics. You can listen here — fast-forward to 8:14 for the relevant part:

Back when Top Gear moved to a new studio and were refreshing the show a little, they considered changing the theme song. Thankfully Clarkson vetoed it but can you imagine Top Gear with this theme song opening? I certainly can’t — Jessica is too much of a classic.

Clarkson’s latest DVD, titled “Powered UP, will be out on November 7th. You can pre-order it off Amazon.co.uk now if you’re on that side of the pond. No word when (or if) it will be available over here in America.

Top Gear has posted a preview of this weekend’s episode. It will be another cocking-about episode but should also have a little bit of car stuff too.

While the first three episodes have been car-focused, Top Gear will be switching gears for the next two episodes and moving to more entertainment-style episodes.

Jeremy and executive producer Andy Wilman have taken to the Internet and posted a video on TopGear.com explaining the reason for the shift as well as mentioning a certain Top Gear fan website.

I for one don’t understand the dislike that some have for the more entertainment based episodes though. Okay, so I’m not a huge fan of pre-scripted events but I do like to see the hosts just goofing around and having a good time. I mean if you hosted Top Gear, isn’t that what you would end up doing half of the time anyway?
