dogapult has put considerable time & effort into dubbing an entire episode of Top Gear Russia for us using the work done by the subtitle group, have a look and who knows, it might be easier for those of us who don’t speak Russian.

It’s got mistakes, doesn’t sound amazing, so keep in mind that it’s a first attempt. There’s a sample, normal & high quality version.

I helped out with the subtitle work this episode, I have to say it wasn’t easy at all. From what I read though, it seems to have decent dialogue, I’m going to grab E01 and start watching it myself.

Top Gear Russia premiered last week and we’ve managed to get our hands on a rip, including English subtitles! If you’d like to see what it’s like, you can download it here. Be warned though, the general consensus seems to be that it’s not very good. I personally couldn’t bother watching more than the first segment before I had to turn it off.

Wow, I totally did not see this coming. TopGear.com has officially confirmed Top Gear Russia. I guess those rumors were true.

Everything’s a bit hush-hush at the moment, but we know that it’s going to run for 15 episodes initially, around the end of this year.

We’ve had unconfirmed rumors of a Russian version of Top Gear on our forums for about a month now, but none of us were quite sure what to make of them. Well things have become even more confusing after this article was posted to a Russian F1 news site. Here’s the Google translation:
