Adam Carolla Interviews Rutledge Wood At 2013 Long Beach Celebrity Grand Prix
_____
Posted April 17th, 2013 at 21:33 by Viper007Bond in Adam Carolla, Rutledge Wood, Top Gear US

Adam Carolla and Rutledge Wood were in Long Beach for the upcoming celebrity race and chatted a bit about the American Top Gear as well as the fact that Rutledge will soon start filming season 4 of the show. Worth watching!

“The Car Show” Is On Hulu

It seems Streetfire is just embedding a Hulu video of The Car Show. Lame.

Here is the direct link to watch it on Hulu. Sorry to all your foreigners though — Hulu is US only.

Streetfire.net To Stream “The Car Show”

Missed the two airings of Adam Carolla’s The Car Show tonight? Then Streetfire.net will be officially rebroadcasting it at some point (doesn’t appear to be up yet, but that’s to be expected).

As a result, we will most likely not be providing coverage for this show here.

Free Tickets To Adam Carolla’s Car Show Filming In Early-July

Posted July 1st, 2011 at 00:12 by Viper007Bond in Adam Carolla, Other

While we’re on the subject of free filming tickets, I thought I’d point out that tickets are also available for The Car Show. That’s Adam Carolla’s automotive show after he was unable to host Top Gear America.

On a side note, we will probably not be providing coverage of this show here on FinalGear.com. There’s lots of great automotive TV shows out there and it wouldn’t be feasible to cover them all. Plus we like our niche of being the best place to get news about everything Top Gear and discuss the show and it’s directly related shows.

Top Gear US Hosts Announced, As Expected Foust In, Carolla Out
_____
Posted April 21st, 2010 at 11:09 by Viper007Bond in Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust, Top Gear US

It’s been officially announced: an American version of Top Gear will be coming to the History Channel this fall, will be titled “Gear”, and has received a 10 episode commitment.

We reported that the show was coming to the History Channel back in February, but it wasn’t until yesterday that it was officially confirmed and the hosts announced. As expected, racing driver and professional drifter Tanner Foust will be one of the hosts while Adam Carolla, busy with an NBC pilot, will not.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the other two hosts will be comedian and “Rescue Me” co-star Adam Ferrara and racing analyst Rutledge Wood.

UPDATE: TopGear.com has their own article up now.

Top Gear US: Tanner Foust In, Adam Carolla Probably Busy
_____
Posted April 5th, 2010 at 10:24 by Viper007Bond in Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust, Top Gear US

On last week’s CarCast podcast (yes, I’m behind on listening to them), Adam had professional driver Tanner Foust on the show and they chatted for over an hour. One of the subjects they talked about was the American version of Top Gear which is set to air on the History Channel. It turns out that Tanner is still slated to host the show, but that Adam will be busy with an NBC show pilot (and potentially a resulting sitcom). The other host(s) have yet to be determined.

Top Gear USA Coming To The History Channel?
_____
Posted February 15th, 2010 at 22:47 by Viper007Bond in Adam Carolla, Top Gear US

Interesting news on the Top Gear USA front — Adam Carolla has said that the BBC is working with the History Channel to bring the show to the channel. He revealed this on the latest episode of his CarCast podcast. The Top Gear discussion begins about 12:30 in, but it’s worth listening to the whole podcast if for nothing more than hearing a classic Lamborghini Miura start up.

Adam Carolla And Eric Stromer Tell Top Gear US Adventure Story
_____
Posted August 21st, 2009 at 00:22 by Viper007Bond in Adam Carolla, Eric Stromer, Top Gear US

Eric Stromer was the guest on the latest Adam Carolla podcast. The first 22 minutes of the podcast is Adam telling a great story about their adventure to Death Valley in what sounds like a cheap car challenge for the pilot of now-canceled Top Gear America. It’s worth listening to (those 22 minutes at least) and really makes me wish someone would release that pilot.

I’ve mirrored the podcast on our server for download (so you all don’t devastate their servers), or you can listen to it here:

Thanks to JoeX and Charlie for sending in the tips!

An Update On Why Adam Carolla’s Show Got Cancelled
_____
Posted February 20th, 2009 at 01:49 by Viper007Bond in Adam Carolla

This is an update on my previous post.

It turns out that it wasn’t really the show that is getting canceled, it’s the whole radio station in Los Angeles that’s getting canceled. The station, which is currently an FM talk station, is being reformatted as a Top 40’s music station. Cheaper I guess.

Here’s some segments from his show explaining the cancellation.

Adam announces why he is leaving:

Adam Carolla’s Morning Radio Show Cancelled
_____
Posted February 19th, 2009 at 14:13 by Viper007Bond in Adam Carolla

This is kinda-sorta off-topic, but Adam Carolla’s morning radio show has been canceled. As you may know, Adam hosted the pilot of Top Gear America (which may or may not be canceled). I don’t know the full details on his radio show cancellation, but I guess the economy as well as ratings contributed to the demise of the show. Word is Adam will start up a daily podcast soon though.
