Contrary to what the countdown at the top seems to be saying, today’s Fifth Gear episode has aired and is available now. I’m currently on the road but will figure out why the countdown is 2 hours slow when I get home.
As usual, there’s always some rumor about Top Gear coming to an end or somehow changing formats. The latest comes from a small comment James May made about Top Gear living on after the current hosts retire. This of course was blown out of proportion, so he went on a local radio station to clarify:
The Applause Store, the company that handles tickets for Top Gear, has posted the filming dates for this summer’s season of Top Gear. Since episodes are filmed the Wednesday before they air, we can therefore deduce that the first episode will air on June 26th. That’s just 19 days away! Five more episodes will then air each Sunday after that, ending on July 31st.
I just thought I’d remind everyone that I don’t post spoilers here on the front page. Many people prefer to not know what will be coming up in future episodes of Top Gear so I don’t like to spoil it for them.
However we do have a whole forum section devoted to Top Gear spoilers that you’re more than welcome to check out. Note that if you have a forum account and are logged in, then you will need to opt-in to being able to view the section by joining the “I Want To Read The Spoilers Forum!” group on the forums. Doing so will grant your account access to the section. Those who are not logged into the forums are able to view the section automatically.
Even though I don’t post spoilers on the front page, please keep sending in tips! We’re happy to post them in that forum section for people to discuss.
Many thanks to everyone who's ripped the episodes on this site as well as Quiky and PacketCollision for being awesome sysops.
