Missed Out On Buying Our Shirts? We Had Extras!

Posted February 17th, 2010 at 13:55 by Viper007Bond in FG.com Store
We had a few leftovers from our previous T-shirt printing run and so we’re offering them up for sale! They will ship within 48 hours as they are already printed.
As said in the previous T-shirt post, that was the final run of those shirts and once these extra shirts are out of stock, that’s it! So get them while you can! There’s not many left.

Top Gear USA Coming To The History Channel?

Posted February 15th, 2010 at 22:47 by Viper007Bond in Adam Carolla, Top Gear US
Interesting news on the Top Gear USA front — Adam Carolla has said that the BBC is working with the History Channel to bring the show to the channel. He revealed this on the latest episode of his CarCast podcast. The Top Gear discussion begins about 12:30 in, but it’s worth listening to the whole podcast if for nothing more than hearing a classic Lamborghini Miura start up.

Even Google Wonders Who The Stig Is

Posted February 10th, 2010 at 00:37 by Viper007Bond in The Stig
Check out this screenshot from Google’s Super Bowl ad:

It was too fast for most people to notice it, but it’s still funny.
(And before you start e-mailing us, yes we’re fully aware of who the Stig likely is. Thanks though.)
You can catch the full commercial after the jump.

Welcome To Our Latest Server

Posted February 9th, 2010 at 10:37 by Viper007Bond in FG.com Forums, FinalGear.com
It’s been two years since we bought “Titan”, our previous server. It was good little beast, but it was starting to show it’s age, especially with the ever increasing popularity of FinalGear.
So over the past few months, our two server administrators, Quiky and PacketCollision, built a new server and late last week Quiky traveled to our new colo (a warehouse with servers) to install it. We flipped the switch yesterday and if you can see this, then you’re using our new server!
We’re still getting the kinks worked out (so bear with us), but it should be faster than ever and be able to handle even more of you motorheads at one time. No more slow forums (hopefully)! Over the coming weeks, we’ll also likely be upgrading the forums to vBulletin 4.0 to take advantage of all of it’s new features.
Thanks for being patient and visiting our site!
