Today’s Top Gear is out now.

TopGear.com has the cut-out bits of the news from last Sunday’s episode. Discussion includes flying cars and really long job titles.

The first episode of Top Gear Season 12 is now on iTunes, but there’s a catch — it’s only available for UK residents. That means Americans like me as well as the rest of you in the world either have to use BitTorrent or wait for it to air in a year or two on BBC America, BBC World, etc.

Still though, every step in this direction is a good one.

TopGear.com has a video up now of some footage from their America trip that didn’t make it to airing. It’s strictly factual of course.

It took some string pulling and a lot of work to get a copy of it, but Monday’s Top Gear Australia is now available for download.

A rip has been put out by PiX, but I haven’t managed to get my hands on it yet. There are a few x264 rips out there, but I don’t want to use those as I’d have to walk a million people through the codecs.

Just be patient and go watch Top Gear 12×02 again or something meanwhile.

Richard Hammond’s Dodge Challenger from yesterday’s episode is currently up for sale by Top Gear. If you’re in the US and want to own a piece of Top Gear history, then make sure to check out that link.

But what, you might be wondering, has happened to the Dodge Challenger that Hammond bought for the American road trip? Well, after its adventures on the salt flats it was taken to a garage for a reassuringly expensive health check and very thorough clean up, after which it was advertised for sale.

Unfortunately, it turns out that during a credit crunch people in America have suddenly realised that a bright orange two door muscle car isn’t top of their priority list and, whilst Richard paid a premium for it just a few months ago, Challenger values are now becoming distinctly mushy. Net result is no one has made an offer. Yet.

So, if you’re reading this in the US and you fancy a well specced, low mileage Challenger with TV stardom and (sort of) competition pedigree, you know where to look.

TopGear.com has a short video (an outtake of sorts) of Jeremy talking about how he fell out of his seat while attempting to powerslide a semi-truck for the latest Top Gear episode. It’s nothing terribly exciting, but still funny and worth a watch.
