Okay, RiVER’s replacement rip of today’s Top Gear is now torrented. If you’re on the old torrent, you can stay on it although the speeds will probably slow down for you.

Get it while it’s hot.

UPDATE #1: Seems this Scene group I’ve never heard of before (ORGANiC) managed to screw the rip up (I’m on slow ass Internet so I won’t have the episode for another hour or so). There’s some skipping at about the 10 minute mark.

If it a replacement rip shows up, I’ll replace this torrent. So if you’re on a limited bandwidth a month connection and want to save this rip forever, hold off on downloading Top Gear for now. Otherwise this current rip is fine (just fast forward through the repeated power lap).

UPDATE #2: Good ol’ RiVER has a replacement rip out. I’m working on getting my hands on it.

Jeremy, Richard, and James were interviewed for Australia’s 60 Minutes show recently and here’s the video. It’s a surprisingly interesting look at behind the scenes of the show.

Apologies for the lack of non-release related news posts lately. Other things have been taking up all of my time.

So anyway, Andy Wilman, the executive producer of Top Gear, has written a new blog post on this season of Top Gear as a whole. He talks about the past episodes as well as what’s to come. He also mentions (and links!) to us as well as the obsessed girls over at Hammond Heaven.

Totally forgot there were only 8 episodes this season. I’ll blame this post on it being 4:30 AM where I am and that I’ve been doing Top Gear Australia for the past 2 months now (it became a habit). Sorry about that.

Here is the last episode of the first season of Top Gear Australia. Mininova is currently down due to server troubles, so the torrent is hosted on The Pirate Bay. I’ll stick it on Mininova later today once they’re back up. Mininova is back up. Link changed to Mininova.

And incase anyone’s wondering why we even bother using Mininova and don’t just host the .torrent files themselves, it’s because most hosts frown upon it. Even though BitTorrent and .torrent files themselves are perfectly legal (what you download via them of course can vary in legality), hosts just don’t want the trouble. So hosting them offsite is a (usually) great solution.
