IRC Channel Move And DNS Server Change

Two things.
First, we’ve moved our IRC channel to our own IRC network. You can now connect via irc.finalgear.com just like you may have done before (irc.p44.org however will not take you to the new network).
Second, since the DNS nameservers we had been using don’t allow them being used for IRC usage, we’ve switched to using different ones. You shouldn’t notice the changeover, but I’m letting everyone know anyway incase you experience some downtime with the site (but again, there shouldn’t be any).

FinalGear.com Forum Members Meet Sabine At The ‘Ring!

Last Sunday, 9 members of our forums plus 2 of their friends trekked to the world renowned Nürburgring in Germany to meet and drive around the track.
While there, they happened to see Sabine Schmitz, driver of one of the BMW M5 Ring Taxis and occasional guest on Top Gear. Thanks to some prodding from forum member Alok, they managed to get her to take a picture with the remaining members of the group:

Richard Has Recieved Our Helmet!

Back in September, not long after Hammond’s terrifying crash, we started a donation fund in order to get something nice for him. After a long discussion on what to get him, we finally decided to get a custom painted racing helmet.
Well after months of work (coordinating, airbrushing, etc.), Hammond has finally received his helmet! No word back from him yet, but you can get more details and see pictures in this thread on our forums.
Thanks again to all who donated and helped us get him this gift!

No, There’s Been No Word On Or Sign Of Fifth Gear Yet

I haven’t talked to Vuk in months and there’s no sign of the episode on any of our private FTPs. I’ll try and get in contact with him and see what’s up, although my guess is he simply just didn’t realize the show had returned. (Aren’t we an organized bunch? heh)
There’s also no release from the Scene, or at least not yet.
I’ll try and keep you updated.
