A Few Site Improvements

Just a note about some new site features:
- News caching! Yep, that’s right, all pages of the news are now loaded from a cache rather than being generated each time which means faster loading times for you and less work for the server. I’ve made the countdown stay dynamic, but the rest of the page you are now looking at has been loaded from a cache. This should hopefully drop the server load quite a bit and as a result, make the server be down less, but we’ll have to see. The drawback of this though is that if you keep refreshing this page, the header image will be the same until the cache expires (for this page, visit a different page and it’ll probably be different). This of course is very minor and a worthy tradeoff.
- All news item post times from now on will be in the GMT timezone rather than my local timezone (GMT-8 during the winter, GMT-7 during the summer). This should make it easier for people to figure out when a new post was made.
Anyway, to the point of my post: if you encounter any problems with this part of the site (the news), please let me know so that I can fix them.
