Yep, Top Gear is back in all of it’s glory! An all new episode aired tonight, one that was supposedly REALLY good (I haven’t watched it yet). Oh, and if you can’t get Top Gear on TV where you live, you can find a link to the torrent right here.

Oh, this rip is indeed 350MB. We were planning on upping the filesize to 425MB, but Vuk hadn’t had time to run tests to find the best settings for 425MB rips. Next week’s rip will most likely be at the slightly larger filesize.

Now for as why we are going to the larger format, Vuk and I decided that even though 350MB had won the recent poll here on the site (55% to 45%), the increase in filesize was needed and worth it. Now, obviously size is still important to us, else we’d just release 2 gig rips. ;) But having a rip that’s too small is a real problem. The current rips have pixelation around moving objects at times and the audio isn’t all that great either.

For those on capped bandwidth connections, I apologize, but it’s just an extra 75MB an episode. Hopefully that won’t make you go over you limit. And if it does, it’s time to get a better connection anyway! ;)
