On a side note, yes, I will still be posting episode summaries here on the main site, I’ve just been busy playing a lot of Battlefield 2 and GTA: San Andreas lately. ;)

Other groups have released torrents for today’s Top Gear. If you look around, I’m sure you’ll be able to find one. If not, someone in the IRC channel will probably be able to help you. :)

Just a head’s up - according to their IRC channel, the NIC card on their box broke, so they’re temporarily down. They should be back up soon.

For those that joined the IRC channel within the last couple days and noticed someone with the nick “BBCMonitor” in there and how they were sending you a notice saying your IP was being recorded, don’t fret, it was just a joke put on by a couple people in there to freak people out. No IPs were recorded or anything like that. I’d never go along with anything like that, especially without telling you guys first.

So again, it was a joke and you don’t need to be worried. ;)

While I can no longer release Top Gear torrents, I just thought I’d let you know that you can find torrents for today’s Top Gear on sites like Mininova.org. I of course don’t condone the downloading of such torrents. ;)

Someone in our forums wrote the BBC and got a reply. You can read it here. I do understand where the BBC is coming from, but it still sucks. :(

Before you ask and go looking around sites for a torrent of today’s Top Gear, I just thought I’d point out again that due to women’s soccer (aka football), Top Gear won’t be airing today. They’ll be back next week though as far as I know. :)

Well, there is a possibility that the cease & desist letter that we recieved is a fake. We’re looking into it and we’ll get back to you guys.

However, I’m going to err on the side of caution and not push my luck unless it truely can be determined that it was a fake.

Just an update on some things.

• First, Top Gear downloads will stay off this site indefinetly due to BBC cease & desist. However, I’m sure you’ll be able to find Top Gear torrents on torrent search sites like Mininova.org. ;)
• Fifth Gear downloads will stay up unless we are told otherwise by Five TV.
• The site will stay up forever, even if all downloads go away. We still want to make it a episode review site at least if we can’t have any downloads. That also means that…
• The forums will stay up forever as well. Even if you can’t download the episodes here, they are still a good place to discuss the episodes as well as Top Gear and Fifth Gear releated news. Not to mention some good off-topic stuff.

Turns out that it wasn’t Ev1 that had the problem but that the BBC complained. pulse, our old host, just recently obtained a copy of the cease & desist and you can read it right here.

So, now all Top Gear torrents are offline for good. Dunno if they’ll ever be back or what. We could move the site to Sweden or whatever, but I’m still here in the USA, so…
