People keep coming into the IRC channel asking when a new Fifth Gear episode is going to be released, so I’ll post here - this Fifth Gear season is over. Each show does two seasons per year and usually 10 episodes per season.

Fifth Gear will be back this fall in a new hour-long format.

Mmm, I forgot to post last night that after I moved the site, I put all of the downloads back up. Whoops! :)

Okay, I’ve put the latest Top Gear up on the site. You can grab it right here.

If you can see this, your DNS has refreshed and now you’re looking at the site on the new server. Downloads will be returning within a day or so hopefully and the forums are also now back up. Thanks once again to cubanseeder for providing the hosting! :)

Due to the whole Ev1 issue (read past news), we can’t release the torrent via the site. However, you’ll find download links in the IRC channel. :)

As for tonight’s Top Gear, get in the IRC channel. We will be posting a download link there.

The recording went fine and Vuk is currently encoding the episode. He estimates that he’ll be done encoding and uploading around 8 PM my time (see the bottom of the site), but I really think it’ll be longer than that. We’ll get it out as soon as we can.

If you’re bored and looking for something to do meanwhile, I invite you to come hang out in our IRC channel as we’re having a release party of sorts. The latest updates will also be posted there.

As for the Top Gear torrents, I’ll be putting them all back up soon most likely. Today’s Top Gear will also be posted here on the main site as we have offsite hosting for the torrents.

Well thanks to cubanseeder, we now have hosting for the torrents. I’m waiting until tomorrow though to put all the torrents back up to give a chance for the DNS records to update. Hopefully the new subdomain will work for you all in time for tomorrow’s release. :)

All Top Gear downloads are now offline. However, since it appears that it was the people who own the servers that were complaining and not the BBC, we will just be moving the torrents offsite to somewhere else soon. (My webhost rents dedicated servers from a hosting company.)

Within 48 hours [edit] (most likely sooner, like later today) [/edit], I’ll be removing all of the Top Gear downloads from this site, so get ‘em while they’re hot. Pulse, the guy who hosts this site, got a nice TOS violation e-mail from his host and so until we figure out what we’re gonna do (give up, move the server outta country, etc.), Top Gear downloads will be taken down.
