You might want to use hard light on the same height as the object and let it rake across the paper, it would bring out the texture even more ;)

Placing obejects between your light and the paper to create interesting shadows.

I was just about to say the opposite, too much texture for my taste. Well, with hard light it might look a bit more pleasant, right now it looks "dirty" if you get what I mean :)
 
I was digging around in some old folders and found this panarama shot I took about 4 years ago. Sorry about the crap quality but it was taken with a cheap 2 mega pixel Samsung camera and I knew fuck all about Photoshop back then. If I had the original photos I would try and tack it back together a bit better.
It was taken on the top of Great Gable looking out towards Ennerdale Water and the Lake District.
